Play the Songs You Love in Months, Not Years

The same roadmap that's taken hundreds of adults from "I can't play anything" to playing Billy Joel and The Beatles. I'll show you all of it, live, in 90 minutes. Real songs from day one, no talent required.

I didn't have a roadmap. I needed a clear path to playing songs by the Beatles and other popular artists, and this was it.

None of the YouTube videos I watched had a step-by-step plan. Now I pick songs I like and have a step-by-step plan right at my fingertips.

This method is so much easier to learn. You notice progress very quickly, and that makes you want to practice.

The best thing is how simple the approach is. It couldn't be simpler.

if this sounds familiar

You've practiced for months.
You still can't play one song.

Here's what nobody tells you. There's no magic amount of practice where piano suddenly clicks. Practice the wrong things and more practice just digs the hole deeper: more bad habits, more boredom, more quitting and starting over. So you grab a YouTube video here, an app there, a method book you never finish. You collect resources, not skills. You're not the problem. Your practice plan is.

Where you are now

✕

You bounce between YouTube, apps and method books

✕

You drill exercises but can't play one full song

✕

Your playing sounds clunky the second both hands join in

✕

You sit down and have no idea what to practice

✕

You've quit and restarted more times than you can count

Where you could be

✓

You know exactly what to practice every time you sit down

✓

You play real songs start to finish, not drills

✓

Both hands feel natural and your playing flows

✓

You add your own style instead of copying note for note

✓

Piano becomes the most relaxing part of your day

what you'll discover, live

3 secrets nobody tells adults about piano.

Secret 1

Why more practice won't fix a broken method, and the one thing to lock in first so every song after it gets easier.

Secret 2

The chord progression hiding inside hundreds of hit songs, from Journey to Adele. I'll play it live and show you how to find it in the songs you love.

Secret 3

How lounge musicians play song after song for hours from a single page, and how you can read that page too.

in 90 minutes, live

The 3 things you walk out with.

By the end, you'll know exactly where you are and what to practice next. You can use it at the piano that same night.

1

Find out what stage you're in (and how to move up)

Every adult learner is in one of 4 stages, from Scrambler to Creative Musician. You'll find out which stage you're in right now and the one thing that moves you to the next.

2

The exact roadmap I use with every adult student

It's called the SONG System: 4 steps, in the right order. When you practice in this order, every new song gets easier than the last one.

3

Simple tricks to make songs sound beautiful

Watch me take a plain, simple song and make it sound full and beautiful with a few easy rhythm patterns. You can try them the next time you sit at the piano.

it's not too late

Think you're too old?
Our students would disagree.

Almost every adult who joins asks the same thing. Did I wait too long? Are my hands too old for this? Then they start playing songs they love. Adults don't learn worse than kids. They've just been handed kids' methods. Here are three students who proved it.

Earl W., PIANOLY student

91

years old when he started

"I did a lot of searching before I joined. Believe me, this was a big jump from where I was before."

Earl W.

Rex K., PIANOLY student

72

years old when he started

"The best blend of work, structure and reward I can imagine. And most importantly, it is FUN!"

Rex K.

James H., PIANOLY student

70

years old when he started

"Now I play from a lead sheet and even performed in a recital. Don't make my mistake of waiting so long."

Every method book taught adults like kids. So I made my own.

Kaitlyn Davidson, Founder of PIANOLY

Let me tell you how this started. I grew up playing piano and went to college on a piano scholarship to earn my degree in Music Education. After that, I started my own music school. It grew to hundreds of students, and many of them were adults like you.

In college, I was trained to teach from the same method books every piano teacher uses. You've probably seen them. So with my adult students, I tried method book after method book. Every one of them taught adults like children. If you've ever been handed "Mary Had a Little Lamb," you know exactly what I mean. I hated watching my students get bored and frustrated, and some of them quit.

So I went against what my degree taught me. I joked, "I'm going to make my own method." And then I did! We started with the songs my students loved and built one skill at a time. Students who had been stuck for years were playing their favorite songs within weeks. That method became the SONG System. In this workshop, I'll walk you through it step by step, so you can start playing the songs you love too.

straight answers

Questions before you save your seat.

Do I need a piano to watch?

Nope. Watch from anywhere you have a phone or computer. Just grab a pen and paper, because you're going to want to write down what I show you.

I've never played a note. Is this for me?

Yes! This workshop is for total beginners and for people who took lessons years ago and are starting again. It's also for anyone who's been trying for a while and still can't play their favorite songs. It doesn't matter where you're starting from. My goal is to get you playing the songs you love, starting now.

Am I too old?

No, and here's why. Kids learn piano the slow way, with years of drills before they ever play a real song. You don't have to learn that way. The SONG System was built for adults, so you start with songs you love from day one. Adults actually have an advantage: you already know the music you love, and you know why you want to play it.

How long is it?

About 90 minutes. Stay until the end, because that's when I answer your questions live and give everyone who's still there a free gift: the Piano GPS. It shows you exactly where you are right now and gives you directions to playing the songs you love.

What if I can't make it live?

Register anyway, and we'll send you the recording. But come live if you can! That's the only way to get your questions answered live. Replay watchers still get the free gift at the end: the Piano GPS.

Is this a sales pitch?

Most of the workshop is teaching, and you'll walk away with things you can use at the piano that same night. At the end, I'll share how you can keep working with me if you want more help. If that's not for you, no problem. You still keep everything you learned.

What happens after I register?

You'll get an email right away with your Zoom link. We'll also send reminders before we go live so you don't miss it. If you don't see the email in a few minutes, check your spam folder.
