How PIANOLY collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information you give us: your name, email address and, if you choose to share it, your mobile number when you sign up for a free training, live workshop, download or our email list. When you buy a program, you enter your billing details with our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We also keep anything you send us, such as questions, practice videos, feedback and posts in our community. Information collected automatically: when you visit the site we collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived, including campaign tags on links (UTM tags) and ad click IDs (such as Facebook or Google click IDs), plus cookie identifiers.
We use your information to deliver what you signed up for (training links, workshop reminders, downloads and course access); to process payments and send receipts; to email you about piano lessons, new trainings and our programs (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email); to answer your questions and support you as a student; to understand which pages and campaigns work so we can improve the site; and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information or share it for other companies' marketing. If you are in the EU or UK, we rely on your consent for marketing emails, on our contract with you for purchases and course access, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving PIANOLY for everything else.
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us measure traffic and see which links or ads brought you here; for example, we save campaign (UTM) tags and ad click IDs so we know how you found us. We also use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags. These let Meta and Google see that you visited our site or signed up, so we can measure how our ads perform and show PIANOLY ads to you and people like you on their platforms. Embedded videos may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalization in your Facebook, Instagram and Google ad settings. The site will still work, though some features, like embedded videos, may not.
We use trusted service providers to run PIANOLY, and each receives only the information it needs to do its job: Webflow (website hosting, forms and site analytics), GoHighLevel (email, text messages, contact management, sign-up forms and course hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Calendly (booking calls), Zoom (live workshops, calls and sessions), Skool (our student community), Meta and Google (advertising and ad measurement), and video hosts such as YouTube or Vimeo (embedded videos). Each provider has its own privacy policy, and they may store data in the United States. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business. This does not apply to text message opt-in data, which is covered in the Text messages section below.
If you give us your mobile number and tick the box to agree, PIANOLY will send you automated text messages, such as workshop reminders, class updates and occasional offers. Consent is optional and is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email hello@piano.ly.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We keep your contact details while you are on our email list or are a student, and delete or anonymize them within a reasonable time after you unsubscribe or ask us to. We keep purchase and billing records as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes, usually up to seven years. Website analytics are kept in aggregated or limited form.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing emails, at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, California or other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your data or objecting to certain uses. We will not treat you differently for making a request. Email hello@piano.ly and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are handled by Stripe's secure systems. No website or email service is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we will let you know if a breach affects you where the law requires it.
PIANOLY's website and programs are designed for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK). If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as PIANOLY grows or the law changes. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and let you know by email if a change is significant.
PIANOLY is operated by Sona Ventures LLC, which is responsible for your personal information. For questions or privacy requests, email hello@piano.ly or write to Sona Ventures LLC (PIANOLY), 6595 Roswell Rd, Suite G 5714, Atlanta, GA 30328, USA.
