The terms that apply when you use PIANOLY and enroll in a program.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of piano.ly and to anything you sign up for or buy from PIANOLY, including free trainings, workshops, emails, texts, courses and programs. PIANOLY is operated by Sona Ventures LLC ("PIANOLY," "we," "us"). By using the site or signing up, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If a program has its own written agreement (for example, the Piano Accelerator enrollment agreement), that agreement controls for that program wherever it differs from these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its "last updated" date, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated Terms.
You must be at least 18 to buy a program or create an account, or have a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. Please give us accurate information and keep your login details private. Access is for you personally: don't share your login, course access or community membership with anyone else, unless your program specifically allows it (for example, the Piano Accelerator allows one registered household member). We may suspend or remove access that is shared or misused.
Prices are shown at checkout in U.S. dollars, and payments are processed securely by Stripe. If you choose a payment plan, you are committing to the full price at enrollment and authorize us to charge your payment method on the schedule shown at checkout until it is paid in full. A payment plan is not a cancellable subscription, and missed payments may pause your access until your account is up to date. Each PIANOLY product has its own refund terms and guarantee, listed in the next section. If you have a billing problem, please contact us before filing a chargeback so we can make things right. If a chargeback is filed, your access to the related program, community and materials will end, and you remain responsible for any unpaid balance.
Each program has its own guarantee. A guarantee applies only to the product it is listed for and cannot be combined with or transferred to another product.
Play Your First Songs Without Reading Music (starter course): 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with the course, email hello@piano.ly within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No conditions apply. If you are refunded, any credit from this course toward the Piano Accelerator no longer applies.
The Piano Accelerator: 72-hour cancellation window plus the Play-a-Song Guarantee. You may cancel for any reason within 72 hours of purchase for a full refund. After that, all sales are final except under the Play-a-Song Guarantee, which requires you to complete the program requirements set out in your Piano Accelerator Client Services Agreement. That agreement's terms govern all Piano Accelerator refunds. The 30-day guarantee on Play Your First Songs Without Reading Music does not apply to the Piano Accelerator.
All other products: unless different terms are shown at checkout, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase by emailing hello@piano.ly.
When you buy a course or program, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use its lessons, videos and materials for your own learning. Access lasts for the period described at purchase; where no period is stated, you have access for as long as we offer that product. We may update, improve or reorganize content over time.
Learning piano depends on your own practice, time and effort, so results vary and we can't promise any particular outcome. Student stories on our site show what some students have achieved; they are not typical or guaranteed results. The only guarantees we offer are the ones listed for each program under "Refunds and guarantees by program," and each applies only on its own stated terms.
Please be kind and respectful in our live sessions, emails, direct messages and Skool community. Bullying, harassment, discrimination or hate speech won't be tolerated. Don't post spam or anything unlawful or hurtful, share other members' personal information, or promote your own business without our written permission. Don't copy, download, scrape or resell our content, or try to interfere with the site. We may remove posts, or remove members from a program or community without a refund, if their conduct breaks these rules or makes the space unsafe for others.
Our workshops and live sessions run on Zoom and may be recorded, and replays are shared with attendees and students. If you join a live session, your name, image, voice and anything you type in the chat may appear in the recording. You're welcome to keep your camera off or use a first name or nickname. If you share positive feedback, results or practice videos with us, we may feature them in our marketing using your first name only. If you'd rather we didn't use something you shared, email hello@piano.ly and we will honor your request.
All PIANOLY content, including lessons, videos, arrangements, chord charts, downloads, text, logos and branding, belongs to Sona Ventures LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use it for your own personal learning, but you may not copy, share, record, resell or publish it, or create courses or content from it, without our written permission. You keep ownership of anything you send us, such as practice videos or community posts, and give us permission to use it to run and deliver our programs (for example, to give you feedback).
If you opt in, PIANOLY will send you recurring automated text messages, such as workshop reminders, class updates and offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@piano.ly. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Our site, content and programs are provided "as is." We work hard to keep them accurate and useful, but we don't guarantee they will always be available, error-free or right for your particular needs. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sona Ventures LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not responsible for third-party sites or tools we link to or use, such as Zoom, Skool or Stripe. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. If a dispute comes up, please email us first and we will try to resolve it informally. If we can't, any legal action will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
